- Hypertension
- CKD with Hypertensive patients
- Renal parenchymal hypertension

- Long-term prophylactic management of angina pectoris
- Hypertension: 2-4 mg once daily up to 8 mg once daily needed
- Angina pectoris: 4 mg twice daily
- It is available in tablet form and should be administered through mouth with food
- Palpitation, facial flushing, hot flushes, headache, dizziness, sleepiness, constipation, nausea, abdominal discomfort, oedema, malaise, redness and warm feeling in the fingers, shoulder stiffness, increased frequency of micturition.
- Hypersensitive reactions e.g. rash and itching
- Elevation of SGOT, SGPT, alkaline phosphatase, total bilirubin, creatinine and uric acid.
- It may cause dizziness or lightheadedness
- Avoid abrupt withdrawal
- Monitor liver function regularly
- Never take the medicine with a glass of grapefruit juice since the blood pressure may be decreased excessively
