High T/P Ratio

The T/P ratios of Benidipine is 82% for SBP, 77% for MBP and 64% for DBP. USFDA recommends T/P ratio should be minimum 50% for an OD drugs which represents duration of action.

24 Hour BP Reduction

4-mg dose of benidipine OD for 2 weeks decreases SBP/DBP by 18/10 mmHg.Another study showed a decrease in SBP/DBP by 38/16 mmHg by 4 mg Benidipine dose.

J-BRAVE Study

J-BRAVE showed that patients with mean age 88 years had BP reduction of 35/13 mmHg

ABC Study

When shifted from Amlodipine to Benidipine therapy there was a further 12/9 mmHg reduction of SBP/DBP

High Smoothness Index (SI)

Benidipine shows significant SIs for SBP, MBP and DBP i.e. 1.82, 1.29 and 0.76. This proves it’s consistent BP reduction over 24 Hours.

Cilnidipine to Benidipine

Benidipine resulted in a 16/5 mmHg greater reduction of SBP when shifted from Cilnidipine to Benidipine therapy
